The Posemesh: Token 2049 Highlights

Token2049 continues to be one of the top meet-ups for the blockchain industry globally, and even with the weather and the worst floods ever recorded, it did not disappoint.

Here are our Token2049 highlights:

Wednesday marked the beginning of our marathon schedule of meetings and networking events even before the main conference got underway.  Our COO, Santeri, and John Skalin (Head of Ecosystem of Tokenomics) attended the Ton Partners Garden Party with Kinetic, Telegram, and Manny Stotz from TON Foundation hosted by VentureSouq.  It was a great opportunity to catch up with new and old friends in real life.

Thursday, the team attended the PRE-Rich or Meme Trying Event (the best name for a Crypto event EVER!) at the Surf Club Dubai. Great vibes, drinks, and music hosted by Arthur Hayes, the Maelstrom Team, and tunes by DJ Jenn Getz and Alfie.

On Thursday, the team also attended Peaq’s DePIN Token2049 event.  The DePIN narrative was the talk of the town, and there were a number of panels and discussions focused on DePIN at the conference. Peaq's focus on raising awareness around DePIN and RWAs was very much appreciated, and it was good to catch up with their team.

On Friday, the team attended Outlier Ventures Founders Breakfast. It was good to catch up with our friends at OV and meet other founders in their ever-helpful network.

After the last day of the conference, we attended Gate.io’s exclusive VC & Web3 Ecosystem Party. Santeri met up with Gepek (Auki Labs partner) and Co-Founder Kristijan Škarica.

On Saturday, we were lucky enough to be invited to How To DAO Dubai by RAK DAO, Bybit, and New Tribe Capital at Bybit’s epic HQ.  It was a great experience.

Token2049 celebrated the Bitcoin halving against the backdrop of the stunning Dubai Marina skyline; it was an unforgettable event and a storybook adventure.

Going offroad to get to DMCC - Outlier Ventures Event

Looking back at the week, we met so many incredible people and teams building in all verticals, whether hardware, AI, DePIN, or many more exciting areas in Web3. The explosion of ideas and products being rolled out is amazing to see, and everyone is super bullish for 2024 when it comes to adoption, traction, and user onboarding into their ecosystems.

Thankfully, there seem to be fewer crypto bros (meme-intended) than at previous events we have attended. There were a plethora of real projects with serious teams building real products that have the potential to add value and solve real problems; however, we also need to get away from the AI/Blockchain hype cycle and focus on product market fit and better UX/UI for users.

The posemesh solves the Spatial AI problem and will enable billions of AI decision-makers and transactions for the spatial internet while maintaining user and data privacy.  The posemesh is the DePIN for AI perception.

About Auki Labs

Auki is building the posemesh, a decentralized machine perception network for the next 100 billion people, devices and AI on Earth and beyond. The posemesh is an external and collaborative sense of space that machines and AI can use to understand the physical world.

Our mission is to improve civilization’s intercognitive capacity; our ability to think, experience and solve problems together with each other and AI. The greatest way to extend human reach is to collaborate with others. We are building consciousness-expanding technology to reduce the friction of communication and bridge minds.

About the posemesh

The Posemesh is an open-source protocol that powers a decentralized, blockchain-based spatial computing network.

The Posemesh is designed for a future where spatial computing is both collaborative and privacy-preserving. It limits any organization's surveillance capabilities and encourages sovereign ownership of private maps of personal and public spaces.

The decentralization also offers a competitive advantage, especially in shared spatial computing sessions, AR for example, where low latency is crucial. The posemesh is the next step in the decentralization movement, responding as an antidote to the growing power of big tech.

The Posemesh has tasked Auki Labs with developing the software infrastructure of the posemesh.
